Are You Ready For Another Trump-Hating Hollywood Celeb to Enter The Swamp?

Far be it for me to tell someone to sit on the sidelines and keep their thoughts to themselves, but come on, man, when it comes to Hollywood.

Hollywood darling Reese Witherspoon revealed she would possibly run for Congress sometime in the future, stressing how women needed to be better represented in government.

Wait a second. Women rule the Democrat, hands down. The men, currently still walking around, zombie-like, have no function but to carry the water for the women leaders daily. So when I hear Witherspoon claim she wanted women better represented, I have to scratch my head.

Witherspoon, while joining the SmartLess podcast, hosted by actors Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes, said she’s still passionate about acting and producing at this time, when speaking about politics, stated, “I wouldn’t say never because I don’t know where I’m going to be when I’m, you know, 65.”

Witherspoon said, “Women are 50 percent of the population, but we’re not 50 percent of the representation in government – which is bizarre – particularly when they’re adjudicating over our bodies.”

Witherspoon also brought up race during response; “the lack of representation of people of color makes up a large, almost majority of this country. What about balance? Just yin and yang. Male/female balance.”

Witherspoon fawned over Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, claiming, “It means so much that she represents so much to women out there. Black and brown girls all over this country know now that anything is possible.” She added, “Anybody who dedicates their life to public service like that is just really remarkable.”

I admit we need a change in Washington, but I don’t see actors as the way to go. They have their own opinions and that’s a good thing but most of what they have to say is skewed toward the left and produces nothing but hate toward Americans that are right-leaning.

Alec Baldwin and Rob Lowe has both considered running for office, but their spouses wouldn’t allow them to do it. Matthew McConaughey’s name was thrown out there as a possible candidate for Texas Governor.  Someone close to McConaughey claims,  “While he would be great in the role, right now it’s just speculation.”

Hey, she plays nice, relatable characters in movies, so why not? She’s not just an actress, she’s your friend, and friends don’t lie to each other, right? I mean, when they cast movies, they make sure only to cast nice, caring people to play nice, caring characters. It’s not like they can “make-believe” that they’re someone else!

Oh, I should add that she’s a woman. And we need to listen more to women. This is a nutty idea, I know – sometimes it takes a woman to do the job! You don’t want people thinking you hate women. Or resent them for making money and having power?

OK, let me stop playing. People who pretend for a living don’t make good real people. It’s probably best to stick with what you know, which is a script. One side thinks celebrity influences (but folks don’t like being lectured), and they want to protect the system and are freaking out over it being dismantled.

Would you support Witherspoon’s run for office?
