just read that Laura Lott, the president of the American Alliance of Museums, called President Trump “irresponsible and shameful” for suspending talks with Congress on the next wave of COVID-19 cash. Takes two to tango, but that’s another story. The Feds have already borrowed $2 trillion to address the Chinese coronavirus hysteria, but the museum community wants a few billion when the pig trough is replenished. There’s a bill circulating with a $4.9 billion price tag for arts organizations. Lott says 50,000 letters have gone to Congress demanding that a chunk of the cash to go to museums.
