Fox News Host Mysteriously Disappears From The Airwaves...What’s Going On?

The Los Angeles Times has reported that an unnamed person close to Outnumbered’s Melissa Francis claimed the Fox News co-host had been fired.

We have to be clear; Fox News has denied the claim even though Francis has not been seen since October 7 — her last appearance on the show. On Thursday, the Los Angeles Times reported how Melissa “is probably at the end of her six-year run at the network, according to people familiar with the matter.”

The LA Times further added to their report that Francis “had filed a gender-based pay discrimination claim against the company that has been in arbitration,” citing “one person familiar with the proceedings,” with Francis allegedly complaining she was “underpaid compared with her male colleagues.”

Fox News seems to have chalked up her disappearance to how they “regularly consider programming changes, including to its daytime lineup, and will launch new formats as appropriate after the election.”

Journalist Yashar Ali tweeted that Francis made her claims known to the network and had been in arbitration.

Ali also wrote an article about the situation that has been kept under wraps:

Longtime Fox News Channel and Fox Business host Melissa Francis claims that Dianne Brandi, the former General Counsel for the network who is now a consultant who deals with talent contracts (among other things), told her “men make more than women do, that’s just the way it works,” when Francis complained about pay disparity between her and male counterparts.

A source close to situation said they don’t believe Brandi would have said anything like this and that it doesn’t sound like something she would say.

Francis approached the network with a claim of pay disparity discrimination based on gender earlier this year and has been in arbitration with Fox News Media according to three sources familiar with the matter.

Francis has been pulled off the air by Fox News Media (the parent company of both networks) according to three sources familiar with the matter.
