Belichick, who many believed was the sole reason Tom Brady was so successful, was chillin’ in his living room in freezing cold New England, out of the playoffs, watching his former QB win yet another Super Bowl ring – on his own – in sunny Florida.

It was in Tampa Bay, where Tom Brady answered the question: “Brady or Belicheck?” in pure “G.O.A.T style.”

Apparently, that sparked something in Belichick and now he’s “out for blood” against his former QB, and he’s literally spending money like an absolute madman to do it.

You know Bill Belichick has been sitting up in cold ass New England wearing hoodies and scheming on whiteboards, plotting next season’s revenge again Bruce Arians and the boat bros. Today, Belichick snapped into action..

After missing the playoffs in 2020 and watching Brady raise his seventh Lombardi trophy, Belichick uncharacteristically came out swinging for the fences on Monday on day one of the NFL’s free agency negotiation period.

The Patriots’ head coach agreed with seven players to contracts reportedly worth up to $194.5 million with at least $81.25 million guaranteed: Ravens edge Matt Judon, Titans tight end Jonnu Smith, Eagles defensive back Jalen Mills, Raiders receiver Nelson Agholor, Niners receiver Kendrick Bourne and Dolphins defensive tackle Davon Godchaux.

And that was just on day one, which New England entered with about $69 million in cap space, second only to the Jaguars ($72 million) and just ahead of the Jets ($68 million).

Many experts and sports insiders believe that Belichick is now “dusting off” his old blueprint for success.

He’s constructing and coaching up a strong defense while surrounding mediocre quarterback play (from a less-than-stellar Cam Newton) with enough weapons to win the game.

But not everyone thinks that’ll work:

“Hang it up Grumpy, the dynasty is OVER. Don Shula will REMAIN the winningest coach in NFL history. Suck it.”

“Don Shula was the best. Bellichick’s record was inflated by having Tom Brady, the GOAT. Shula won running, passing, with a great QB and a WoodStrock pair, and always with mediocre draft positions because his team won so much. Take Brady out of Bellichick’s record and it is average.”

“what is he going to win with ms. cam newton?’

“I used to like and admire the Patriots, but now with Brady gone and when Belichik refused the Medal of Freedom from President Trump, I will actually cheer against them next season.”

Well, whatever the case may be for Belicheck, we’re hoping Tom scores #8 next season.
